2023 GMC Yukon

The Yukon now comes in five trims after GMC's significant change in the lineup for 2023. In addition, the flagship Denali Ultimate debuts this model year, replacing the Denali as the top trim. There's also SLE, SLT, and the sporty AT4.

The Yukon touts a bold grille design and available premium wheel options that vary by trim. In addition, its LED headlamps and taillamps feature GMC's signature C-shaped design for a striking look whether you're coming or going.

GMC offers the 2023 Yukon with a choice of three engines under the hood. The stock setup features a 355-horsepower V-8, or you can opt for a 420-horsepower V-8 that delivers noticeably more muscle. There's also an available turbocharged six-cylinder diesel that puts out 277 horsepower. All options pair with a smooth-shfiting 10-speed automatic transmission.

Because of its gigantic size, you might not expect the new Yukon to be as agile as it is. However, its light and accurate steering make it easy to handle for a large SUV. Even your sleeping baby will love its smooth ride, especially if you upgrade to the available adaptive air suspension.

GMC's Yukon is also a terrific choice when a lake excursion is on the weekend agenda. The AT4 trim can easily tackle a gravel trail with equipment like Magnetic Ride Control, a front skid plate, hill descent control, and all-terrain tires. This behemoth can also tow a camper or trailer weighing in at 8,400 pounds.

The 2023 Yukon's interior quality combines luxurious and mainstream elements. Its handsome cabin is well-built, and you can get upscale touches like leather upholstery and wood trim as you move up the trim levels. You'll also love the 12-inch digital gauge cluster, tri-zone automatic climate control, and two 120-volt household-style power outlets.

One of the best things about this SUV is the passenger room. It seats eight people in its standard configuration, and there's no shortage of adult-friendly space in all three rows. The Yukon also delivers loads of cargo room. The standard model provides between 25.5 and 122.9 cubic feet of storage space.

GMC's easy-to-use infotainment system comes with plenty of innovative and convenient tech features. You'll appreciate the responsive 10.2-inch touchscreen, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There's also Bluetooth, navigation, and six USB charging ports.

The 2023 Yukon's SLE variant features standard driver assists like forward automatic emergency braking, front and rear parking sensors, and forward collision warning. You'll also appreciate the added confidence of a rearview camera, pedestrian detection, and lane-departure warning. GMC didn't stop there, either. This SUV also features lane-keep assist, a rear-seat alert, automatic high-beam headlights, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.
