The Silverado 2500 HD comes with a 6.6L V8 gas engine yielding 401 horsepower at 5200 rpm with 464 lb.-ft. of torque at 4000 rpm. This engine works alongside an electronically controlled Allison 10-speed automatic transmission with Tow/Haul mode and auto-grade braking.

To boost your truck’s power, stamina, and trailering capabilities, there’s an available 6.6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine that’s also paired with the Allison 10-speed automatic transmission. This combination provides an astonishing 470 horsepower at 2800 rpm with 975 lb.-ft. of torque at 1600 rpm and a maximum towing capacity of 22,070 pounds on the crew cab model.

Exterior

The Chevrolet Silverado 2500 has a rugged exterior that’s made for all kinds of tasks, including heavy-duty towing and hauling. The Chevy Trailering Package provides a trailering hitch platform, a 7-wire electrical harness, a 2.5″ receiver hitch, and 4-pin and 7-pin connectors. You can also use the Hitch Guidance feature to view your trailer and hitch on an in-cabin display screen for perfect alignment and monitoring while driving.

In crew cab and double cab models, the back seat is a 60/40 split bench with seat bottoms that fold upwards for cargo versatility.

Tech

Inside your Silverado 2500, there’s a Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system that measures seven inches diagonally. This system gives you in-cabin access to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, so you can make hands-free phone calls while you’re driving. The Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system also has Bluetooth audio streaming and voice command pass-through.
