Combining Chevy’s small-block V8 and a high-performance electric motor brought to life the 2025 Chevy Corvette E-Ray, the quickest Corvette ever. The hybrid supercar features a balanced chassis, explosive acceleration, a silent all-electric mode, and a host of revolutionary technologies.

Powerful Hybrid System

Carrying on the Corvette’s small-block tradition, the E-Ray’s primary source of power is its beastly 6.2L LT2 V8, which produces 490 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque in its base configuration. It drives the supercar’s rear wheels and is engineered for track performance, featuring eight equal-length intake runners and a dry-sump oil scavenge system. With the available Performance Exhaust, included in the Z51 Performance Package, the engine’s output reaches an ear-splitting 495 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque.

The V8 works alongside a single electric motor that churns out 160 hp and 125 lb-ft of torque to create an electrified all-wheel drive (e-AWD) system. The system’s net output reaches a staggering 655 hp and 595 lb-ft of torque, allowing the hybrid supercar to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds and finish the quarter-mile run in 10.5 seconds.

All-Electric Drive Mode

Engaging Stealth Mode shuts off the V8 and uses the charge stored in the 1.9 kWh lithium-ion battery to power the electric motor. The Corvette drives 3–4 miles in complete silence and reaches speeds of up to 45 mph in Stealth Mode. Turning on the combustion engine recharges the battery on the go.

Excellent Handling

In addition to tearing up drag strips, the Corvette E-Ray excels in circuit racing thanks to its balanced chassis and innovative suspension. The supercar’s engine sits behind the driver and in front of the rear axle, distributing weight evenly across the chassis. This makes steering more predictable and enhances traction.

The standard E-Ray performance suspension with Magnetic Selective Ride Control adapts damping forces to changing road conditions in as little as 10 milliseconds. It also features a metal particle fluid that becomes rigid when turning sharply, reducing body roll. Additionally, the system includes Performance Traction Management, which gives the driver more control in wet and slippery conditions by heavily limiting wheel spin.

Performance Data Recorder

The available performance data and video recorder captures footage of your racing activities using a windshield-mounted 1080p HD camera. You can replay the video and audio on the vehicle’s infotainment screen or save it to an SD card for playback on a different device. In Track Mode, the system records RPM, g-forces, lap times, and additional performance metrics.
