With plenty of scenic trails going through the beautiful landscapes of the Ozark Mountains, this state park is open every day of the week between 8:00 am and 10:00 pm.
Driving from the Sallisaw city center to Lake Fort Smith State Park takes about one hour by car via route I-40. This public recreation area also offers cozy cabins for those wanting to stay overnight, with modern amenities including satellite television, full kitchens, and picnic areas.
