Chinese food has flavors for everyone, from sweet to spicy to savory. Some of the best Chinese food in Oklahoma is available here in Sallisaw, OK and the surrounding area, and we’d like to recommend a few Chinese restaurants we think you’ll enjoy.
China Harbor Super Buffet
Find this great spot at 815 S Kerr Blvd and you’ll enjoy really nice people and great service, a roomy restaurant where you can spread out and enjoy yourself, and excellent, fresh food. The prices here can’t be beat: this is the perfect spot to take a hungry family.
One of the best things about this place is the variety. There’s a ton to choose from at the buffet, and if they’re starting to run low or you get there late, expect the staff to come by and make sure you don’t want them to cook up something for you in particular. There are also some unique offerings here that won’t find in most Chinese buffet places. We recommend the crab, shrimp, and mushrooms in particular!
Asian Star
Asian Star is at 902 W Ruth Ave, and they offer dine-in, take-out, and delivery. The food here is consistently good, the service couldn’t be friendlier, and the prices are quite reasonable. They have a good selection, too, though there’s no buffet here.
Among the most popular items (and for good reason) are their great chicken sticks and spring rolls. The General Tso’s chicken here is amazing, and even the plain lo mein is something to write home about. You also need to try their orange chicken, beef with broccoli, and the pepper steak with onions. If you’re up for something special, get the honey chicken or the Four Seasons: beef, chicken, pork, and shrimp with vegetables in the house special sauce.
Dkones Eggrolls
If you’re on the road or up for a little drive, Dkones Eggrolls is an interesting spot with great takeaway. You’ll find this place at 473077 E 1051 Rd in Muldrow: be aware that they’re closed on Mondays. There’s not a huge selection here, but you’re not going to care because what they do make is so amazing.
Their egg rolls are absolutely to die for, and their fried rice and lo mein keep people in the area willing to drive miles just to have them. And, actually, the service here isn’t the best–they are somewhat infamous for being rude–but people will still come for these eggrolls. That’s how good they are.
Thai Taste Thai & Chinese
If you want a night out, head to this place at 816 S Roland Rd in Roland. This is also a perfect spot if you want Chinese but your friend wants Thai. Thai Taste does both very well.
The food here is absolutely fresh, homemade, and very authentic. The portions are large and the service is not only fast but also gracious. The eggrolls here are great, the egg drop soup is amazing, and the spicy fried chicken will keep you coming back.
