Your new 2024 Chevy is backed by several warranties that give you the peace of mind of knowing that you’re covered in the unlikely event of a labor or material issue with your car. These warranties have a limited duration, but you can choose to extend them. As your Chevy dealer, we want to tell you about your warranty and extended warranty options, which are also known as protection plans.

Standard Warranties

Before we look at your extension options, let’s take a quick look at some of the warranties that automatically apply to your new vehicle.

Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty

This standard warranty provides complete coverage for any repairs, including parts and labor, due to any problem caused by a material or labor defect. It’s valid for three years/36,000 miles. The warranty also protects your tires against any problem other than regular wear and tear. In addition, the warranty provides free towing to your closest dealership.

Powertrain Warranty

Your engine, transmission, and drivetrain are the most expensive and complex systems in your Chevy. This warranty protects them against any unforeseen issues for five years/60,000 miles.

Additional Warranties

Other automatic warranties include an Emission Control Systems Warranty that’s duration varies by vehicle type, a Corrosion Warranty that protects against body or sheet metal corrosion for three years/36,000 miles, and a Perforation Warranty that warrants against any rust through on your vehicle for six years/100,000 miles.

Protection Plans

There are three protection plans available: the powertrain plan, the silver plan, and the platinum plan. Each plan builds on the one before it. You can select the duration and deductible for the plan you choose. These are the highlights of each plan.

Powertrain Plan

This plan focuses specifically on your engine, transmission, and drivetrain. In addition, if you have a hybrid vehicle, it covers all its unique drive components.

Silver Plan

This plan includes everything covered by the powertrain plan above and adds coverage of your front and rear suspension, climate control, brakes, steering, and electrical systems.

Platinum Plan

This plan offers the most protection. It includes everything in the previous two plans and adds protection for your audio, navigation, and high-tech systems. The only components in your car that aren’t covered are specifically stated in the plan’s contract. This plan also offers the longest-term coverage of up to eight years or 100,000 miles.

Additional Benefits

All three protection plans include 24/7 roadside assistance, rental car coverage for up to ten days, and trip interruption reimbursement for up to five days.
